The European Commission has announced a series of key measures to facilitate the implementation of the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR). Among these measures is a proposed 12-month extension for companies to gradually adapt. 

This extension, pending approval by the European Parliament and the Council, would move the regulation’s application date to December 30, 2025, for medium and large companies. 

The purpose of this additional time is to ensure that industries and global partners are fully prepared to meet the new regulations, ensuring a smooth and efficient transition.
